SE.NIORS AT STUDY SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS Kent P., Marilyn L., David S., Karen L., Leland O., President--Rodney Spokely5 Vice-President-aRuth Ronald P. Hollandg Secretary--Mavis Morehart5 Treasurer-- Ione Bratager. ln 1958, twenty-eight ambitious freshmen entered the doors of higher learning to great things, individually and as a class, during the next four years. One of our first big events was our freshman initiation During our sophomore year we attempted to be as torturing to the new green freshmen as we had endured the year before. Q Our junior year was highlighted by the annual magazine drive which proved very successful and the junior play The Brainstorm, turned out to be one of the largest events of the year. The setting for the Jr.-Sr. Banquet, Southern Plantation, was an achievement which made us indeed proud. Our senior year began with the smash hit, The Little Dog Laughed. All of our twenty-six class members have been actively participating in many extra-curricular activities. Thirteen members of our class participated in the band, sixteen members in the chorus, and seven members in declamation. In F.F.A. we had four State Farmers, one District Star Farmer, three Regional officers and numerous awards for judging teams. We had three lettermen in basketball, seven lettermen in football and two graduating members attained membership on the 1961 al1 conference team. During our graduating year Climax had its best football team in the history of the school. The year 1961, be- came a record breaking year for basketball. Climax defeated East Grand Forks and Crookston to attain second place in the district. The preceding pages will give a history of the magnificent twenty-six graduating members.
