Smith 3 Glafu 'l'he sophomore class entered Climax lligh School in i943 with an enrollincnt of 46. Although our inenibership has decreased to -ll, we are still the largest class in school. The sophomore class introduced their social season hy entertaining the freshmen ata party on December ll, l946. 'l'he ptide of our class is leronie levning, the hotshot of the haskethall team. Our class contains other great basketball material also. To enumerate a few: Floyd Ball, Stanley Paulsrnd, Lowell .-Xker, Virgil Swenson and Dale Brokke. Due to an injury' Howard Olson missed out on most of the season this year but he will he with ns next year and going Strong with the others. 'l'he sophomore class was represented by 12 entrants in the declaniation contest. One of theni. Donna Rutkowski, went all the way to the district contest.
