Providing refreshments after all home ball games for the visiting teams. o. Keeping the bulletin board up-to-date. The purpose of this organization shall be: a. FUTURE HCMEMAKERS CDF AMERICA I 0 The F. H, A, chapter set forth many worth- JW while goals to be carried out this year. Some of the goals are as follows: To encourage members J to attend all chapter and federation meetings, to , encourage the development of civil defense, to remember the aged in the community with gifts 'les'-i, ' X and cards, for chapter members to adopt little sisters in the ninth grade and explain F, H, A. to them, tohelpa needy family in the community. Chapter programs were planned to help carry out some of these goals. On December 9, the new members were in- X itiated into the club. After the initiation cere- l mony and the business session, the entire group went to the District Home in Chatham. Refresh- ments were served bythe group to the elderly people and e v e ryone joined in group singing, Everyone enjoyed the visit and felt a great satis- faction in knowing that they had brought a bit of joy to the aged. At Christmas time, the group fixed a box for a needy family in the community and presented it to them. The entire group is making plans and look- ing forward to the Mother and Daughter Banquet which will be held in March. This banque t is one of the highlights of the year for the chapter, 34
