GIRLS ' SCORES 1955 Cl max 72 Gretna 65 The Girls ' team started off the year with pretty new uniforms and Cl max 55 Brosville 54 strong players. They had the best forwards that they have had for quite Cl max 58 Whitmell 57 a while but when the season started Dec. 7th, we soon learned that the Cl max 44 Whitmel 1 67 competition was strong in both Group 2 and Group 3 schools. Cl max 46 Callands 55 The team played fine and all was well before C h r i stmas . After Cl max 69 Renan 80 Christmas the trouble started when Lorene had a knee injury which Cl max 83 Spring Garden 96 kept her out of our two hardest games. Soon as Lorene got well. Dee Cl max 62 Chatham 50 Anna Cundiff and Jo Ann Jefferson got yellow jaundice and couldn ' t Cl max 56 Brosville 64 play for the rest of the season. Cl max 56 Cal lands 68 But the game of the year was on Feb. 5th, against Spring Garden. Cl max 41 Renan 51 There were only four of our first string playing, but Climax still won Cl max 58 Spring Garden 57 over the second place team of the county. Lor ene Chism was the star Cl max 42 Chatham 50 of the game but received a leg injury in the last three minutes, which Cl max 24 Gretna 45 made the third player off the first string. The unlucky Climax girls are Cl max 53 Spring Garden 65 due for a break, maybe next year.
