A chorus has been started in Clif- ton High—a real honest-to-goodness school chorus, with a music instructor, assistants, and all. This is something brand new in our school, and we are grateful to those who made it pos- sible. The chorus meets every Wednesday at Thorburn’s Hall. At present the chorus is talking up several songs in preparation for the June commencement. It is true that we have the Girls’ Glee Club, which has given us some fine programs, but we must remember that the boys ought to have a “voice” in music affairs too. An idea has just occurred to me! With the chorus under Miss McQuillian’s splendid super- vision, with the stage ability of the Arts Club, and with our future Paderewski and Paganini, Mr. Kuzmiak and Mr. Kupper respectively, we may soon have grand opera all of our own. C. Mkzzanette, June ’25. Son—“I got a hundred in two subjects. Father—“Very good. In what subjects?” Son—“50 in spelling, and 50 in arithmetic.” Purchaser “What is the charge for this battery?” Garageman—“One and one-half volts.” Purchaser—“How much is that in American money ?” Exchange.
