As a special feature of my evening broadcast, I am bringing to you the where abouts and whys of the 1960 Clifton High Schopl senior class. I have just received the latest flash from Kansas City. I find that Wendell Nelson is now the coach of the Kansas City Athletics. No wonder the Athletics are still in the cellar. Bob Simpson and Gerald Newell are still digging graves. People are dying to see them since these guys always said they would be the last to let you down. They recommend that you use their easy lay-away plan. The new principal of Clifton High School is Milton Anderson. He decided that if you can't beat 'em, join 'em--and then beat 'em, Everyone is so proud of Russell Haden. Buss just threw the discus 300 ft Dale Anderson started out in life by fixing TV sets. Since then he has become very prosperous. He now fixes the entire TV programs. Loren Kisby wanted to be a forest scout, but he decided that it would be more fun to be a girl scout. Gordon Mauch plays professional football with the St. Louis Cardinals. He's the only chicken on the team. Eldon Beaumont and Denny Senters are currently testing mattresses. They have set a new record--no stop sleep. They got their training in Cl1fton's study hall. Jim Cordry is a farmer living east of Clifton. Once Mr. Musick couldn't get him to come to schoolg now his wife can't get him to come home. Jeanne Kelley d1dn't know whether to be a social worker or a society worker. Jeanne prefers society. Joyce Caldwell is now driving a truck for the Linn creamery--anything to be close to Linn. Gary Taylor is a Latin teacher. He and Milton are teaching together. It's a great school--no sane students. Jim Iverson brought back a wife from the senior trip to the Ozarks. She' a moonshiner, but he loves her still. The most popular senator in washington is Shirley Affleck. She believes in the adage, 'See no evil, hear no evil, and speak no ev1l.' Dennis Winter is the county extension agent for Washington County. The trouble is that the only community worth anything is the Linn community. It is the only area in which he works. Jim Hartman now works for Charles Atlas, and I'm proud to say that his picture is world famous. Because of her previous dancing experience at the alumni banquet, Janet Beeson lsynow dancing at the Harold Club in Reno. KShe misses Milton, but not too much. Elwood Oberhelman is currently a member of the United States Spy Service. He got his training spying on the Juniors at the prom. Judy Caldwell and Linda Rogge became so fond of the Brown-Mackie School of Business in Salina and the environment of the Air Base that they are now permanently stationed there, but instead of typing letters, they are trying to decide which airmen are the marriageable type. Dean Esslinger is now a top scientist at Cape Canaveral. He received his experience by missing so many shots while playing basketball at Clifton. Well, folks, that's the scoop on that old senior class from 1960. Stay tuned now for the class will. ff V 1 v 4 I CLASS WILL I, SHIRLEY AFFLECK, will my quietness to John Rice. Sounds unreasonable, but it might help a little. I, DALE ANDERSON, will my curly hair to Scott Carlson. Now you can really be curly, Scott. I, MILTON ANDERSON, will my charter membership in Mr. Mus1ck's paddling club to Don Collette. I would will it to Bernard but he is already a charter member. I, ELDON BEAUMONT, will my early rising to Mr. Morgan. You only have to get up early during senior sneaks, Mr. Morgan. I, JANET BEESON, will my nickname, Beaver, to the students of next year. By the sounds of things you will have to be eager beavers. I, JOYCE CALDWELL, will my ability to go steady to Donna Kahrs. All it takes is the Linn Picnic, Donna. I, JUDY CALDWELL, will my ability to be majorette to Danny Beyer. You might look ridiculous, but the baton is lighter than the bass drum. I, JIM CORDRY, will my ability to be excused from forty days of school to Leo Reed. If your mom won't write you excuses, see my mom. I, DEAN ESSLINGER, will my ability to play first trumpet to Raymond Bergstrom. This will make the music teacher happy next year. I, RUSSELL HADEN, will my ability to grunt when I throw the shot put to David Kelley. Be sure to grunt slow, David. I, JIM HARTMAN, will my ability to argue, bet and then not pay off to Fred Schumaker. This is one way to bet and stay rich. I, JIM IVERSON, will my hair on my chest to Dickie Cordry. I also have some red ribbons in case you decide to braid it. I, JEANNE KELLEY, will my horse to Nancy Slipsager. Go easy on the spurs, Nancy I, LOREN KISBY, will my ability to be nervous two weeks before the F. F. A. Sweetheart Ball to Doug Toll. Watch out for that cherry flavored lipstick Doug. I, GORDON MAUCH, will my ability to play drums under any circumstances to Larry Nelson. But, 1t'll get you out of condition, Larry. I, CAROLYN NELSON, will my brownie points with the teachers to Becky Haynes. You already have a good start. These will give you a good surplus. I, WENDELL NELSON, will my American History teacher to my brother, since you seem to get along better with her than I do. I, GERALD NEWELL, will my shovel to dig graves to Mike Liby. Don't fall in Mike I, ELWOOD OBERHELMAN, will my big blue eyes and extra inches in height to Judy Gennett, so she and my brother can see eye to eye when they're dancing. I, LINDA ROGGE, will myself to the Junior class, so one member of the class will be happy. I, DENNY SENTERS, will my interest in school to Linda Peterson. That way you won't have to give up your wicked, wicked ways. I, BOB SIMPSON, will my red hair to Sharon Solts. You won't have to spend money on bleach now, Sharon. I, GARY TAYLOR, will my track ability to Mike Lundeen. May you'll be lucky enough to stay ahead of Miss Shippy, Mike. I, DENNIS WINTER, will my cheerleading ability to Bon Peterson. You will be in the minority, but 1t's fun. , ,. ,,,, 1.6 ,. ,Hp s fffis , ' , .,: x'ri'Sfn1wY5 PEf':ff1 rV ' ' QV- , 'sm gf' 1' .az-, ' . gr .., ,k., M . ,, 'A ' ' f LL , ,,: ' av! 4 YT . ,f ,I 1 v., E. .VA . . 7,131 jf!
