The changes that take place in the fifth grade are not dramatic ones, but can be seen all the same. This is a calm, stable period for everyone to enjoy. You go on field trips with Mrs. LaRocque and Mr. Collins to places like Bear Mountain and the St. Lawrence Seaway. The writing competen- cies are in fifth grade too. You go into fifth grade still a kid, but you come out almost a teenager and ready to take on the world. Fifth Grade 31
