Julie Rowand was able to experi- ence two ways of life by living with a Chinese family in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The large city and hot climate were very different from Star Lake. Julie learned some Spanish from her classmates and family. Boys' State Every summer students from all over the state of New York come together in order to learn, through experience, the various functions, of our State government. Through elective proceedings students chose selective workshops to learn the work- ings of our government. In the spring of 1969, the Clifton-Fine representative was Jeff Hayes. Julio Paredes, from Guate- mala City, Guatamala, is living with the Rowand family for 9 months. He plans to graduate from Clifton-Fine with the present senior class. Julio speaks English well and is interested in Science. 70 Library Club ROW 1: V. Gorr, C. Tebo, Mrs. Winch ROW 2: P. Sullivan, M. Vallier, C. Janack, S. Marsh, P. McCallops, M. Bullock, D.
