SHARON NOLAN, Dental Hygienist The dental program is designed to educate each student as to proper dietary habits, proper toothbrushing technique, and the im- portance of regular visits to his or her family dentist. Each student has the opportunity to have annual dental examinations, whereby, if any dental defects are discovered, parents are notified. CAROL GRIFFEN, Speech Correctionist Speech correction is concerned with those children who have difficulty with verbal com- munication. The program is centered around students in the early primary grades. Prob- lems range from seriously delayed speech to mild articulation disorders. MAUDE C. DeVOL, School Nurse Teacher The nurse is also attendance supervisor so that all absences are investigated and excuses signed here. Each child is screened annually; that is weighed, measured and eyes and ears tested. The ears are tested with the Audio- meter as shown. Minor first aid care is given and anything of a serious nature is referred to the school or family physician. 7
