Class Will We, the class of 1955, village of Star Lake, State of New York, claiming to be of sound mind and body, do on this date, make this our last will and testament. To our TEACHERS we leave our appreciation for trying to pound something into our head. To the .IUNIORS we leave a gross of aspirins! You'll need them to relieve the headaches that go with raising money for that BIG TRIP! To the SOPHOMORES we leave this little advice! Don't pay for the seeds unless you have to!! We wanted .to but the bill never came!! Result? All profit! !! To the FRESHMEN we leave this-behave or you will never get an advisor!! Nobody loves us!! BETTY BABCOCK wills her ability to skip school and get a legal excuse to Becky Hunkins. NONA BARDEN leaves her seat in the art class to Helena Watson. Hope you enjoy it as much as she did!! DONNA BASSETTE wills her ability to giggle and then become hot, red, and generally em- barrassed to Dan Riley and Leonard Cote. PHYLLIS BONI bequeaths her cornet to Robert Lennon. fP.S. Bob, you blow it-not drive it to Harrisvillelll HAROLD BOYD wills his blonde hair to Phyllis Patnode. We would like the change! BILL BURNS leaves his Boy Scout shorts to Gary Laplante and Jim Flint. Huha-Huba! ANN CLARKE wills her red hair to Lillian Isereau. Now you won't have to use peroxide!! JIM COLE leaves his square dancing to John Lohnas. We girls sure wish Jack would use that ability! CECILE DELAIR wills her gum supply to Linda Baker. She's a sly one, Linda! BOB DORAN bequeaths his quiet sly ways to Sally Persson. MERLIN FOLEY wills Larry Rivers his ability to keep his nose in the air. TIM FORKEY leaves his size 13 sneakers to Jim Robertson and Fred Adams. It'll take both to fill them, boys. PAT HOGAN wills her ability to talk constantly to Yvonne Wood and Carol Van Patten. JACKIE JANACK bequeaths her sad stories about working hard to Mary Jane Doody. Don't over-do-it, Mary! ALVIN KELLY leaves his devilish ways to Berta Cole. Let's not be too quiet!! EVELYN KELLY leaves her square dance partners to Carol Slate. Let's get in the swing, Carol!! BILL KERR bequeaths his empty notebook to Eleanor Reed. Never a pencil or a sheet of paper, huh Bill? LOWELL KERR leaves his good manners to James Warner and Wilson Clarke. We'd like to see them used next year!! THELMA KING wills her boy friends to Laura Hazelton-Not that she needs them!! KATHRYN LAPLANTE wills her cheerleading to Larry Robertson and Bob Monty. You boys need the exercise to have that figure that makes the girls spin! WENDELL LASHUA leaves his 1947 Mayflower Pontiac, to Dona Kerr. Pontiacs are better, Dona!! VESTA PEABODY wills her pretty smile to Wayne Akey. We'd love to see those teeth, Wayne! ART PLOOF wills the devilish ways he acquired at the Inn to Sylvia Babcock. Be a real devil now, Sylvia! .IIM POMERVILLE wills his blue school sweater, loaded pockets and all to Maggie Bradley. First rule of football cheerleaders-Stay Warm! ' NORRIS REED leaves his draft card to Tom Canfield. We sure hate to see Tom without a draft !! DORIS RUSHMORE wills Dick C. tex-Rangerl to anyone who will take him! JIMMY SMITH leaves his line with the girls to Jerry Bemus. Get on the ball now, Jer ! We girls are waiting!! LINDA SMITH wills her pink socks, and Bermuda shorts to Helen Saber. Let's be sure you know where to wear the shorts, Helen! ROGER THOMAS leaves his curls to Ann Marie Owens and Sylvia Morris. Now Ann won't have to wear a DA Cduck's taill and Sylvia won't have those nightly pinups! VIRGINIA TITUS wills her car keys to Harlan Wood. Make sure you have a fling for your self. She always did! ' JAMES WARD wills his engineer boots to Janet Smith and Pat Morrow. Let's see if you can do some engineering, girls!! RALPH WEST wills his smoking during play practice to Barbara Pomerville. Make sure you don't get caught next year, Barb! He did!! SUZAN YADDOW leaves her giggles to Frank Peabody and Cindy Jarvis. Now, you can giggle while holding hands! Class Prophecy It is' the year 1986 and many have gathered in the Clifton- Fine cafeteria to attend the Alumni Banquet. We find that each member of that famous class of '56 is present. Let's find out what each has done since graduation. SUSAN YADDOW was the inquisitive type. Because of her intense interest in everybody's business, she is a star reporter. She is so alert that she once interviewed a criminal while he was committing the crime. ROGER THOMAS was a slow moving chap. He is a plumber's assistant-the one who goes back for the monkey wrench and can't find it. He, with his wife, VESTA PEABODY, live on a farm in Cranberry Lake. LINDA SMITH owns an exclusive beauty shop. People- men as well as women- will enter her shop looking like 60 and emerge looking like 16. Linda is a famous face lifter and she is a living example of her work. ROBERT DORAN is a famous inventor who has invented over a 1000 labor saving devices. One of his inventions is Boomerang collar buttons-guaranteed to return to the hand that lost them. MERLIN FOLEY, once a basketball player for the Syra- cuse Nats, is now a real estate agent. He has become rich selling Florida lots to the inhabitants of Labrador and igloos to the dwellers of the Sahara. TIM FORKEY has just given up his racing stables and he now lives on an Indian Reservation where he will have free hunting and no income taxes. DORIS RUSHMORE, a graduate of Potsdam, is the vocal teacher at our Alma Mater. She recently had a book published entitled H101 Ways to Catch a Ranger. NORRIS REED is a member of the FBI CFuller Brush, Inc.J. He has written a book, I Led Two Lives -a story of his experiences as a brush salesman and a counterspy for the United Butchers of America. RALPH WEST, a famous chemist, has isolated the germs of hayfever, love, hate, and laziness. He has also extermin- ated book reports, income taxes, and English teachers. POLLY BARDEN, the domestic type, is the wife of a leading citizen of Irish Hill. She is very active in the Home Bureau. ' PHYLLIS BONI has made good use of her voice. She can now be seen as the lead in the musical comedy, Cinder- ella's Scandal. After the banquet, she will fly to Reno to shed her third spouse. DONNA BASSETTE is the well known composer who has written many songs that have appeared on the Hit Parade. Some of her songs are: There's a Ga-Ga Gal in Guate- mala and 1 Hear You Knocking But I Can't Find the Key. WENDALL LASHUA is the owner of the Eat and Run Restaurant. He is also an undertaker and both businesses are doing well. HAROLD BOYD is America's champion pole sitter, mara- thon dancer and pretzel eater. Harold is also the world's undisputed channel swimmer. He once swam back and forth until his manager remembered to come and fish him out. JAMES WARD, the superintendent of Jones and Lauglin, is also president of the Clifton-Fine Central School Board of Education. ANN CLARKE-because of her ability to get others to work while she watches and her ability to answer all questions Csometimes correctlyl-is a school teacher. LOWELL KERR is a member of the Senate. In the forth- coming election he will be a candidate for the presidency. Lowell sponsored the bill, Be Kind to Seniors Week. JACKIE J ANACK, a noted orator, is quite busy with her lecture tours. She is best known for such stirring speeches as Sleeping Habits of the Night Owl and Identifying the 99 Different Species of the Beetle. JAMES SMITH had to rent all the rooms of the Lakeview Hotel to accommodate the many wives of his Harem. Jim went to Bagdad to explore and decided to become a citizen of the place. WILLIAM KERR is a wealthy salesman. Bill just recently returned from Alaska where he had success selling cars to the Eskimos. He belongs to the National Swindlers' As- sociation. EVELYN KELLEY is a designer of cross word puzzles, magazine covers and necktie patterns for a large department store. PAT HOGAN, another Clara Barton, is now working at the Oswegatchie Cat and Dog Hospital, operated by a former classmate, GEORGE PERSSON. WILLIAM BURNS is a poet of the new school. He is the author of such brilliant works as Owed to a Taylor, and Lines on a Lady's Face. JAMES COLE was the curious type. He volunteered for the first trip to the moon. He was amazed with life on the moon that he has already made plans to return. THELMA KING leads an exciting life. Tomorrow she will leave for Africa to accompany her husband, Bring 'em back alive Buckaroo, a big game hunter. VIRGINIA TITUS, the old maid of the class, is the pos- sessor of many degrees as B.S., M.S., Ph.D., F.O.B. and' S.O.S. For the past 10 years she has been Dean of the Dormitory College for Girls. CECILE DE LAIR is Betty Button, the well known and popular- actress. She has starred in many films-one of which, I'd Cry Tomorrow But It's Much More Convenient Today, brought her the Academy Award. This movie was directed by the noted ALVIN KELLEY who won an Oscar for his movie, Golden Locks and the Peroxide Bottle. .IAMES POMERVILLE is a civil engineer. His present job is to place a tunnel through the Rockies to shorten trips for Hollywood commuters. KATHRYN LA PLANTE has married into royalty. She and her husband, the Prince of Wales, live in a beautiful mansion on Guna-Guna Island. ART PLOOF is a foreman at the Newton Falls Paper Mill when he isn't at Chappel's still celebrating his graduation from high school.
