The execution of those tasks is rightfully expected of each of us. We wish to congratulate those who have conscientiously done what was expected of them. However, we would especially like to praise those who not only fulfill their ap- pointed tasks but also capably and devotedly fulfill tasks beyond the call of duty. Such a person is Miss Dorothy Allen who was not only instrumental in the founding of this yearbook, THE MOUNTAIN ECHO, but has acted as its advisor since its origin. To you, Miss Allen, we humbly extendour most grateful appreciation for the time, effort, and guidance necessary for the realization of such a memorable publication. Compliments of NEWTON FALLS PAPER MILL, INC. Every Tuesday and Thursday morning the auditorium is filled with the singing of sixty voices-- The Clifton-Fine Choir is rehearsing. This group is composed of sopranos, altos, tenors, and basses from grades nine through twelve, and in the two years of their existence they have performed a variety of types of songs. Remember You’H Never Walk Alone, Rock-A-My Soul, Skaters' Waltz } The members have become the proud possessors of choir robes--navy blue with satin trim, so they now look as well as they sound. Each spring the choir takes part in the New York State School Music Festival at Potsdam, and while the group has not attended on a competitive basis, the judges and judications have been helpful and encouraging. 38 Front row, left to right: Mr. VanGelder, M.
