But one who has watched and worked with you for four years is confident you will play your parts loyally and well. Your generation has had to revise and discard old dreams and ideas of peaceg to overcome ahhorence of war, to feel responsibility for peoples and nations farawayg to realize the freedom we inherit carries with it an obligation to preserve it. It is my hope for each of you that your educa- tion means the power to recognize what is worthwhile in our civiliza- tiong to value what you see of truthg the character and ability to join with others in translating such vision and ideals into action that the new world we know tomorrow may be just and equable for everyone.
