His responsibility is the efficient management of the schools in the district. Mr. Heffley has lived in Cheektowaga for many years, and is well known in the community. He with a Master We graduated from State Teachers College in i935 B.S. in Education, and received the degree of of Education in i950 from the University of Buffalo. of Cleveland Hill are fortunate that he is with us. He has shown us an excellent example of outstand- ing leadership. 8 'w HE Board of Education, which is composed of five members, is the organization which conducts the business of our school. Its mem- bers include Mr. Norman Oetinger, president, Mr. Jacob Geib, Mr. Frank Heindl, Mrs. Em- erson Henneman, and a new member, whom we welcomed this year, Mr. Gerald Garrow. They have appointed Mr. John Seyferth district treasurer and Mr. Charles Robinson as the dis- trict clerk. The board has helped our school in many ways. Besides their usual duties of hiring em- ployees, purchasing of sites, and constructing school additions, they also give their approval concerning new school equipment and school activities. We all agree that the Board of Education plays an important part in the running of our school and we would like to thank them for their wonderful work.

Fl 'af'- ,,1 -0. f , gf ADMINISTRATION LEVELAND Hill High School began its '54-'55 school year under the leadership of its new principal, Mr. Meade G. Ander- son. He was born in Brockton, New York. While at Brockton High School, Mr. Ander- son Ied his Senior Class as President. He con- tinued his outstanding work, attending Fre- donia Normal School, Buffalo State Teachers College, and the University of Buffalo. We have grown to respect and admire Mr. Anderson because of his outstanding qualities, and his immediate adaptability to the faculty and students at Cleveland Hill. MEADE G. ANDERSON Principal DOROTHEA C. DUTTWEILER Supervisor of Secondary Education N , LEVELAND HiIl's Supervisor of Secondary Education is Miss Duttweiler. She has been with us now for five years, and has eamed the respect and friendship of every member of the student body and faculty. Miss Duttweiler received her BacheIor's and Master's degree from the University of Buffalo. She then taught at Amherst Central, Kenmore Senior High School, and the University of Buffalo, before coming to Cleveland Hill. Each of us will recall different persons and events dur- ing our school years, but all will look back with pleasure upon their association with Miss Duttweiler. 9
