Although not all the students can parti- cipate in the production of the yearbook, each person has an opportunity to volunteer for staff membership. New members are added each year. Each person is assigneda specific duty on the staff of his choice. The entire AERIE group consists of the Literary, Art, Sports, Business, and Typing Staffs. The members of these staffs labor hard and long, and each member benefits by learning to work in harmony with the other members. Under the capable leadership of Mrs. Marie Fronczak, Mr. Clifford Cooke, and Miss Dolores Amatuzio, the AERIE Staff is able to produce a yearbook representing school life throughout the year. Under the guidance of Mr. George Constan- tou, the members of the Student Council have certainly made this year one of the best atCleve- land Hill High School. They have sponsored socials after school and at basketball games, have managed the bookstore, arranged for the installation of the Fruit-o-Mat, and have given scholarships to an outstanding Senior and the most capable Student Council member. lt can certainly be said that the officers of the Student Council have well fulfilled their ex- ecutive duties, since the council has functioned smoothly under their leadership. HE Cleveland Hill OUTLOOK, your school paper, is presented to you once a month throughout the year. Its main function is provid- ing the teachers and students with all the current news of their Alma Mater. The result of the dili- gent work of the staff members is an accurate re- port of the events at Cleveland Hill and a great deal of interesting reading for the students. For the OUTLOOK staff this has been a rewarding task. They have enioyed their work together and gained valuable knowledge in the field of iour- nalism. The OUTLOOK has won a national contest. The romantic tactics of Laurie, the clever wit of Aunt Eller, the bold- ness of Curly, and the many beautiful musical numbers made the ploy completely delightful. This performance was directed by Miss Kath- ryn D. Bradshaw and the stage settings were de- signed by Miss Dolores M. Amatuzio and Mr. Daniel C. Harter. The coordinator ofthe busi- ness divisions was Mr. Joseph Spina, a class advisor. - , ,,,,. 4 Q , 2-'P ,fi-'fe are - Ari gg-ff ' Q p .0 'L SJ. These builders want to celebrate their accomplishment. The seniors, builders who have reached the top floor in their Foundation for Knowl- edge, celebrated at the Senior Ball. Sunken ships, treasure chests, and fair maids greeted those who entered the underwater Realm of Neptune on the night of this gala event. Sharon Wrona and Gerald Snyder were crowned king and queen of the ball , and they reigned supreme for the entire evening. lt was a spectacular dance and will remain in the memories of all who attended. Our tools are set aside, and we are gathered together for one last meeting to receive recognition for the building we have done. As our seniors are called forward to receive diplomas and awards for the successful completion of their individ- ual tasks, we feel in our hearts a profound gratefulness toward each faculty member and fellow student. They have been foreman and counselors during the building of sturdy and substantial backgrounds. Although the sun has set on our foundation, it will rise tomorrow on the fruits of our labor. 6 6 6 6 8 8 6 6 8 6 6 6 8 9 6 6 6 6 8 8 C 6 graduation awards Cleveland Hull Hugh School Athletuc Councul Award Bert Lues Cleveland Hull Homemaker of Tomorrow Award Juduth Schmudt Amerucan Leguon Award Gerald Snyder Natuonal Offuce Management Assocuatuon Award Beverly Herlan Daughters of the Amerucan Revolutuon Award Juduth Schmudt Sons of the Amerucan Revolutuon Award Bausch 8.
