jeannie Knight and Bob Morrow sport their Daisy Mae and Li'l Abner outfits. s ,g,,-ure' Li'l Abner and Daisy Mae Crowned at Twirp Dance Potato sacks, suckers, and hill-billy outfits were the fashion mode at the Daisy Mae Dragf' the annual Twirp Dance sponsored by Amikki. The dance climaxed a three-day week of courtesy, pigtails, and daisies in the female department and relaxation and pleasure on the part of the male members of the student body. In honor of the fictitious comic strip char- acters Liil Abner and Daisy Mae, the cafeteria was bedecked with comic strips and crepe paper. A gold plunger, carrot bouquet, and radish boutonniere were sported by the best Daisy Mae and Li'l Abner, Jeannie Knight and Bob Morrow, '58 Cleveland graduate, who reigned as king and queen. Another feature of the Twirp was the Whiskerino', fa beard-growing contestj. Royal C draws large crowd. Court and Team Honored by Royal C Excitement of lovel rincesses . . . mountin curiosit of all . . . festive Y P g, Y decorations . . . this is the scene of the Royal C ' Student Body Foot-Ball which honored the football team and ended the successful season. Tension mounted as Mike Gedrose, captain of the team, prepared to announcerthe Queen of the annual event. The long awaited moment finally came when Vinnie Dixon was announced Royal C Queen.
