Class Histor Four long years ago forty tour determuned passengers boarded the good shup 54 whuch was to carry us over the rough sea to graduatuon As offucers to guude our traul shup we chose Paul Temple as presudent Ruth Ruxton as vuce presudent and Tommy Surratt as secretary treasurer Mrs Nuta P Wagoner was our advusor thus year The furst year of our uourney was devoted to adaptung ourselves to hugh school and all uts problems The next year only thurty fuve passengers were back to contunue our cruuse toward graduatuon Our offucers for thus year were Jerry Funk presudent Roselyn Snyder vuce presudent Paul Temple secretary and George Hupp treasurer Our advusor for thus year was Mr Emmutt Feumster Four of our class members were unvuted to uoun the Beta Club These were Genelda Kepley Becky Barber Paul Temple and Phyllus Roseman The thurd year of our uourney was not so smooth and easy as the turst two As offucers for thus our Junuor year we chose Phyllus Roseman presudent Mul dred Shupung vuce presudent Barbara Eller secretary and Steve Wuamett treasurer Mr Feumster was agaun our advusor Four more of our number were unvuted to uoun the Beta Club These were Jerry Funk Jack Wooten June Powlas and Steve Wuamett The furst part of the year was devoted to makung money for the Junuor Senuor One of our prouects was the Junuor play Aaron Sluck From Punkm Cruck under the durectuon of Muss Celua Oakley Characters un the play were Jerry Funk Bull Somers Vurgunua Davus Barbara Eller Nellue J Bar runger Steve Wuamett and Phyllus Roseman Our Junuor Senuor Banquet and Dance whuch everyone enuoyed was a bug success Another hughlught of thus year was our trup to Washungton D C Also quute a few of our class members were gaunung recognutuon un athletucs Bull Somers was named outstandung player un the 1953 basketball tournament Barbara Eller was chosen to be on the all county basketball team and George Hupp was elected to the all county baseball team Funally our luttle shup has approached the end of her uourney Only twenty sux ot the passengers have wuthstood the hardshups of the trup As oftucers tO pulot our shup to her funal harbor we chose Steve Wuamett as presudent Jerry Funk as vuce presudent Jack Wooten secretary and Vurgunua Davus as treasurer Another member of our class Vurgunua Davus was elected to the Beta Club Muss Oakley was our advusor for thus tunal and most umportant year Our prouects thus year were to publush the Clevana and to graduate Agaun some of our class members were elected to dustunguushed oftuces Steve Wuamett was elected county FFA Presudent and Phyllus Roseman was elected county FHA Presudent Our shup has at last reached the dustant port and as each deservung passenger dusembarks he us guven hus hard earned duploma a passport for the lute to come PHYLLIS ROSEMAN Hustoruan I . . ,, ,, . . . , .
