Nowlin devoted thirty-two years-more than half of her life-to teaching in the Cleveland City Schools. Through all these years, she gave a full measure of unselfish and unstinted service and devotion. During her last years she had been sponsor of the Annual. Though broken in health, she was planning, even in her last hours, for the suc- cessful completion of this Annual. In recognition of her loyal service, we gratefully dedicate this book to her memory. Dedication Signor Sylvester Copple Sig Copple was ever loyal and devoted to Cleveland High School. This was manifest in everything he did. He loved sports of every kind. He was clean and wholesome. These qualities combined with his competi- tive spirit and desire to win stamped him as one of our most outstanding athletes and made for him a lasting place in our affections. His untimely passing has brought sorrow to all our hearts 3 and to his memory, we affectionately dedicate this book. John McCloud Skinner Johnny Skinner was an integral part of the life of Cleveland High School. He was born in Cleveland and had always attended school here. He was ever loyal and coopera- tive with his fellow students and always willing to be helpful and to do his part. He was a true sportsman and loved to hunt- he loved the outdoors. His sunny disposition, his noble character, and his sweet spirit en- deared him to all of us. His leaving us in the springtime of life has saddened all of our hearts. To his memory we lovingly dedicate this book. R'-N x Board of Education if F, A - , - g 5' .- . 97,3 .,, 58 -f 55' I . . . Q f v' z 'Q-21:2 .. E 3 W. Rankin Young E. P.
