SENIOR HIGH BASKETBALL REVIEW The Cleveland Tigers ended one of the most successful seasons in basketball in the history of the school at Oklahoma City where they were defeated in the quarter-finals of the state championship tournament by Achille 48 to 42 Achille went on to win the finals During the season the Tigers won 24 games and lost 7 and won four trophies, three of these being first place cups The Tigers advanced to the finals of their own invitational tournament the second largest of its kind in the state only to be ousted by Pawnee in the finals by a score of 22 to 19. The Cleveland quintet won the Central State College tournament at Edmond, the largest of its kind in the world by outscoring Bethany, 53 to 45 In the district tourna- ment at Pawnee, the Tigers humbled Fairfax in the finals 51 to 40, and became the first Cleveland team in the school's history to win the district meet The Tigers won the reg- 1ona1 tourney at Pawhuska by nipping Pawh uska, 32 to 29, in the finals to qualify for the state meet.
