Our officers are Howard Johnson, President, Vice-President, Bobby Pierce, Secretary, Betty Gaye Johnson, Treasurer, Kathy Pleasant. The mascots and superlatives have.been chosen. Twelve long years we have toiled together, Our cares and wants have slowly withered, Sad farewells we shall to each pay, And dream and pray of a life -long day. Our debt to education must be fulfilled, We owe so much to those who live, Our parents, and friends, and teachers all, A debt we owe to those who might call. From this wheel we will turn away, And divide the long clasped hands that lay, There is a God we must believe, And put all our trust for him to receive. Guided by he -followed by thee, We are the makers of our own life's key, Yesterdays are gone, today is here, and tomorrows are near, We must win out for all we hold dear. MRS. Lou JOHNSON 68 5 r I Special Recognition To Mr. Bruce A. Coats, we wishto express our appreciation for the years of service that he has given our school. Since he has become head coach, he has led his boys to two baseball championships, one basketball cham- pionship Q62-63l, and three basketball conference championships. His girl's basketball teams have also won three conference championships. Four years ago, he instituted our first guidance counseling system which has enabled the students to plan for a better future. For these reasons and many more, we offer our thanks.
