.STuJenf Counci F A L L The Fall Student Council, under the sponsorship of Mr. Hellmich, began a vigorous drive last fall to increase inter- est in both old and new school activities. Among the major projects that received the Council's support were the Coro- nation of the Football Queeng the arrangements for College Nighty the business management of the operetta, Follow Thru g the mock election for the presidency of the United States and the very successful political campaigns for the various candidates before the final ballotingg and the prepa- ration of Christmas stockings for War Veterans at Christmas time. The sale of basketball passes, which were also used for admission to the annual Alumni Basketball Game and the installation of the 1952-1953 Basketball Maids, set a new record at Cleveland this year. Another project which re- ceived the Council's support was the acquisition of much-needed laundry equipment for the Athletic Department through the sale of Christmas tree light bulbs. The Council inaugurated a new plan for service awards for pupils who assist with work in the office and other departments of the school. The Student Council wishes to thank the Faculty and Student Body for the very helpful co-operation which they have received in all of their undertakings dur- ing the past fall.
