Hugh R. Morgan, Jr., Principal; B.A., Emory Henry; M. Ed. University of Virginia yiominisirah ' on AN AWARENESS The teacher is the key to the ordered process of learning. This key opens the door to an abundance of pos- sibilities and stimulates the reason far beyond the expected. Once the door is ajar the sequence to success grad- ually unfolds. Self-analysis, planned and evaluated, opens the mind to study, broadens the areas of interest, patterns the processes of thinking, and stimulates the desire for learning learning for living. The routine of living, when carried out solely in terms of tomorrow ' s objectives, loses some of its value and much of its enjoyment. Therefore, individual study beyond the classroom adds importance to today. That which is ultimately sought becomes the culmination of much that is worthwhile and enjoyable at the moment. To have an inner feeling of self-assurance and self-achievement is necessary to individual growth. Study to show thyself approved can be one of life ' s more rewarding experiences. However, to grow as an individual an aware- ness of being must be understood. In a free so- ciety the purposes of true living are not estab- lished or directed. Be it a pity that all men of kindred profession were exactly alike or even closely so. Set your mind to a task, unbounded if you will, and strive to achieve it, but above all have an awareness.
