Our Principal Mr. Hugh R. Morgan « .. ■v .4f ) W : k. Memory is the essence of man ' s being and the key to human understanding. Without it one becomes void of much of the thought process. Most of living involves that which we or others have done. There is no future except in terms of today and the recent or historical past. Memory . . . seemingly simple, but actually exceedingly complex . . . means of escape or the im- petus to achievement . . . the many faceted experience . . . fleeting, prolonged, painful, soothing, nostalgic, vivid, subdued, or pleasant and revealingly reminiscent. To most of us, this volume represents the present; to the staff, it represents a degree of achieve- ment; to all of us, it is a part of the educational process in that the expressions and portrayals are of us. This book is not an essential part of our program, rather it represents that tangible some- thing beyond the necessary. It expresses our artistic nature and our desire to perpetutate some of life ' s most treasured experiences. To all of us, it will become a guide to pleasant memories. The experience, the book, the impression- Ah! what satisfaction in just a thought. To each of you we wish a happy and fruitful life, and may your memories be brightened as you occasionally re- scan these pages. is
