Planes flying overhead certainly didn't make these cakes fall. Here are the proud winners of the Cake Baking Contest with Mr. lmus, one of the iudges. The Cake Baking Contest was one of the many activities held during Crazy Ways Week. There were Be Kind to Teachers Day, The Boys' Club, among many other worthwhile activities, planned the Fath- er-Son Banquet, where dads and sons had a night out together to rehash the football season. Here an award is being given for a iob well done on the toot- ball team. Friendship Day, Snow White Day with everyone wearing white, and also Sadie Hawkins Day with the timid boys gaining long sought recognition. The air age is a busy age, but students take time out from their busy schedule to think of others. These class officers are busy counting the money collected from the March of Dimes cam- paign. There was also the 1-EN, 29 ffl Like planes which carry one to far-off lands, our honor able drama class trans ported the faculty and stu dents to a distant atmos phere and environment. The class performed a va- riety of plays throughout the year with a helping hand from Miss Raine. The senior play, Time Out For Ginger , was a huge suc- cess and many skits were performed at pep assem- blies. Hglpmelw Nr ,Q-Q WL C l campaign for Red Cross, in which students took an ac- tive interest in helping others. The Boys' Club Social Serv- ice Committee collected money for Christmas baskets to be given to needy families. The roll rooms also did their share by collecting canned goods for food baskets to be distributed for Thanksgiving dinners. The Christmas season was a ioyous time of year for Cleveland. The halls were decked with holly, roll rooms celebrated with parties, clothes were collected for those who needed them, carols were played between class, and sung by the choir during class time. Added to all of this was a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, which was genuinely admired as it stood in the main hall. I .4 'ii'

Everyone has admired Kim's courage and has gained faith from her excellent fight which has earned her a scholastic record. The Torch Club officers had many such proud mo- ments, as they gave recognition for outstanding work accomplished by Torch Club members. Many scholarships were won by these deserving students. These beautiful young ladies the Double Nonnette enter tained for many assemblies banquets and luncheons They, with other musical groups have produced music of every mood and style. Choirs trios quartets instrumental groups have all contributed to this bustling organization Cleveland High School.
