A A yi BOB HADLEY DON BRAZIER BOB BROBERG GERALD ARNOLD Though not being a team which was at any time a serious threat to the championship the Eagles did overcome their lack of experience and made every game a hard fought contest Other teams were more consistent at wmmng ball games but few had the fighting spirit of Cleveland s hoopsters The Eagles dropped their season opener to the Garfield Bull dogs and then the losing streak began The scores were opponent first Garfield 48 27 32 31 Lincoln 57 47 87 31 Ballard 46 25 62-42- Queen Anne 46-30 48-41- Franklin 51-49 35-42' West Seattle 49-27 60-50. Cleveland salvaged some glory by upsetting Franklin in the season finale 42-35. Despite their losses Coach Scott praised the team for their high spirit complete unity and their power to make a comeback after dropping far behind- he also stated the 1950 squad was the best Cleveland team he has worked with. Phil Isernio won the Inspirational award and made the All- City second team. Phil led the Eagle scorers and ended seventh in the prep scoring race with 106 points.
