Heights had the second largest number of semi-finalists in the state of Ohio and in the Greater Cleveland area. These students scored in the top one- half of one percent nationally, but comprised well over two and one-half percent of graduating Heights seniors. The twenty-five National Merit Commended students listed below scored in the top two percent of seniors who took the qualifying test in the fall of 1976.
