Strauss Sarah Wensell Learning their respective languages, students find meaning in strange letter combinations and unusual sounds as well as increasing their comprehension of Eng- lish grammar. The language department consists of French, Spanish, Latin, German, and Hebrew, and is coordinated throughout the school system by Mrs. Mabel Blanch- ard. The largest part of her duties consists of visiting the classes of each language teacher in the school system. It is hoped that in future years a class in spoken and written Russian will be developed and a language laboratory featuring recordings will be available to students.
