By learning the basic phy- sical, chemical, and biological con- cepts of the universe, the pupil re- ceives a basic foundation for under- standing the atomic age he lives in. He becomes familiar with the scien- tific method of proving the verity of a statement before accepting it. ln hygiene students not only be- come acquainted with the principles of healthful living but also learn how to handle many social problems that may confront them in later life.
