SENIUR HUMERUUM ADVISERS DURING THE YEARS WE SPENT AT HEIGHTS WE ALWAYS FOUND THEM THERE TO HELP TO GUIDE AND TO ADVISE WITH EVER A MOMENT TO SPARE WE REALIZE THEIR EFFORTS AND IN VIEW OF WHAT THEY'VE DONE WE PRESENT THE HOMEROOM TEACHERS OF THE CLASSES OF '51 nv .nf THE SENIORS Norval B McAfee had a co operatxve well rounded and frlendly group of boys 1n h1s homeroom these past three years The members of 123 gaxned champxonshlps ln every sport Three of the boys were also elected to mem bersh1p 1h NHS One of the many features whlch made HR GCR a long 11st of partxes pot luck suppers and outmgs ln whzch the gxrls and Mlss Dazey Horn thelr adv1ser engaged dur1ng the three years they spent together Humor athlehc ab1l1ty co operatlon leadership and Navy matenal all these were to be found ln the members of P Theo dore Lorz s HR 237 The boys were extremely proud of the fact that they cap tured the AI football champ1onsh1p Pr1ze Wlnnlng table dec orat1ons at two Gxrls Cabmnet Halloweenpartles a cake for 100 er cent membershap 1n the PTA and part1es galore are a few of the happy recollec tmons of the glrls ln Mxss Florence Bromelmezer s HR 102 Excellmg in scholarship and servlce the boys Perry A Cooleys HRIO4 were represented xn NHS and the Buckeye Boys Qtateg on fxve athletlc teams, on the Crest, the Hermes, and the Caldron: and mn the musical groups of the school, 12 The gxrls of HR 315 guzded by Nhss Edxth Malxn gave generously to the Commu mty Fund won prxzes 1n every Glrls' Cablnet affalr and responded 100 per cent to all PTA memberslup dr1ves and Black and Gold subscnptzon campaxgns Miss Reta Verhulsts HR 2 se a standard for homeroom co operat1on by kmttxng an afghan for Vet erans Hospltal by contrib utzng a record amount to the Commumty Chest and by gxvxng numerous parties and hav1ng a very good time HR 324 under the guldance of john C Langmead was athletxc and musical ac t1v1t1es These boys par txczpated 1n zntramural sports and subscrxbed 100 per cent to the Black and Gold for six semesters Mxss Loulse Magor s HR 113 xncluded a number of gxrls talented 1n a varlety of f1e1ds Many of the g1rls were 1n the Chozr the Glee Club Players the Band and the Orchestra whale over 20 per cent became members of NHS Interest ln athletlcs ran h1gh 1n Carl C Dewald's HR 304 whmch produced six members of the H Club Although the varsity teams dramed then man power the boys took part whole heartedly xn every xntra mural sport of the school Athletxc abxlxty scholar ship and leadershxp dx tmgmshed the boys ln Don ald F Lawson's homeroom The presldent of the semor class, the co captaxn of the football team, and the presxdent of NHS were members of HR 310. o 1 , ' I I ' - av ' - V ' l I 1 t .
