Although essentially student- oriented, the primary goal of the staff is to achieve the best possible intra-campus communication among students. administration, and faculty. Beginning with the I978- I979 academic year. publication became an on-campus project. The staff is indebted to Ms. Carole Piazza. who assists the staff by providing both skill and advice for manuscript typing, and to Mr. Alan Price, for his expertise in typesetting. Today. artists are more sensitive to related forms of artistic expression and communication and in doing so. often present compatible art fonns such as dance and music as equal partners. The subtleties and intimacy of classical guitar and dance form a unique bond of artistic expression. Gary and Carole Piazza met while attending Florida State University - Gary studying music and Carole studying dance. The mutual admiration of each other's art form eventually emer ed into a work entitled Fanla.ria'fora Dancer in I975. The premiere of Fantasia' and the first performance of the dancer-guitarist duo came in the spring of I975 at Florida State University in conjunction with the Florida State Dance Theater. Since then. the duo has performed many times together. their m0Sl recent concert in November, expanding their repertoire and exploring various avenues of style. quality. and interpretation through classical guitar and modern dance movement. These events and our Visiting Artist program Qin its fifth year at CCT lj have made us cognizant of the need for a continuing opportu- nity for artistic expression and appreciation. PACC tPerforming Arts of Cleveland Countyj was explicitly organized for this purpose by Cleveland Tech.
