After two rough seasons the football team mapped out of a 19 game loosing streak by turning back Webster 20 to 6. The total record was 4 wins, one tie, and 5 losses, thus putting them in 4th place. The victories were: Webster C20-6j, Mt. Dora Q14-13y, Tavares Q20-143, and Bishop Moore Q13-71. The biggest score was 30-6, St. Clouds favor. The other losses were Umatilla Q27-'73, Titusville Q13-01, Groveland Q13-63, and Lake Weir Q20-73. There was a 6-6 deadlock with Bushnell. Although there will be a big gap in the squad due to the loss of graduating Seniors, we look forward to having'eleven Balls of Fire starting the 1957 season. We started off the season with 31 members, but due to injuries, we ended the season with only 28. STATISTICS Total yards gained 1900 Passes 62-118 First downs 80 . Total points 99 All Conference Players 'Ned Henderson and Lawson Wolfe Honorable Mention Gordon Lewia and Jim Wise BASKETBALL with 14 games gone, the boys have a 1-13 record, and the varsity girls a 2-8. Leading scorers for the boys are Jack Murphy, Jim McGuire, and Jack Judy, all with over 100 points. Leading scorers for the Varsity girls are Alicia Oliver and Kaye Halstead with over 100 points each. Leading scorers for the Rinky Dink girls are Brenda Moore, Glenna Middleton, and Holliday Hillary. So far the Rinky Dinks have a 2 wins-one loss record. Next year there will be a lot of competition for positions on the girls' squad because of marked improvement in a large number of the players.
