0 2 as Fx 5 -X . X v Sports R 6 'U but there were some highlights. We tied one game with ' Lyman, the score being 0-0. The biggest score of the lf season totaled 25-40 against Bushnell, with Bill Ashmore scoring two of these touchdowns and Jackie Patterson 6 running 99 yards for a touchdown. In the Mt. Dora game, Royce Wells caught a long pass of 50 yards from Jackie Patterson. A pass play from Kenny Boykin to James Graves covered 65 yards in the St. Cloud game. There will be a big gap in the team next year with the graduation of seven experienced players: Roger Godwin, James Graves, Jimmy Carroll, Lynn Crews, Royce Wells, Bob McCown and Bill Ashmore. We are proud of Roger Godwin and Bill Ashmore, who made All-Conference Honorable Mention. The football team had another rough season this Year, 'LU The girls' basketball team will graduate seven seniors: Julia Welsh, Sandra Anderson, Tanya Hutsell, lrettie Beals, Julia Rogers, Marguerite Boyd and Lynn Brantly. Bill Ashmore is the only senior on the boys' basketball team. The team will be developing into a strong and winning squad in the very near future. Good Luck to both 3 teams! We're proud to say that Bill Ashmore received , Honorable Mention in basketball too. ,3 1L.l -Q During the baseball season, our Clermont team won XX the runners-up trophy in the C. F. C. and James Graves K won Honorable Mention. We have great expectations for this coming year. , E: I . 1 E -i: The Highlanders are proud of the enthusiastic cheerleaders J, - and pep squad, who have supported our teams in all sports and activities. The sportsmanship, co-operation and high spirits of the squad were widely recognized and appre- ciated. S X
