j . AR. HENRY HILL, housing project manager, s responsible (or keeping a roof over the leads of the married students on the campus. He also helps to house many of the profes- ors here at Clemson. The responsibility for handling all of the records, curricula, and grades of the students belongs to the registrar, MR. G. E. METZ. The registrar ' s staff handles the ordering of diplomas and approves the distribution of the seniors ' rings. The assistant reaistrar, MR. K. N. VICKERY, hel D s to coordinate the many duties of the registrar s office. The vast job of handling the money and expendi- tures of Clemson falls to the hands of MR. J. C. LITTLEJOHN. In addition to his regular duties of keeping track of salaries and expenses, he is also burdened with the problems incurred by the expan- sion program. MR. TRESCOTT HINTON has the treasurer ' s office running smoothly and works to keep the books in order. 25

The office girls, who go unnoticed but contribute so much to the efficiency of the school, enjoy a five-minute break at the Juice Shop. THE ADMINISTRATION A. J. BROWN, Treasurer of the College, has the never-ending task of handling all the financial affairs for the school. Trusted with a very important posi- tion, he has done a wonderful job of keeping tab on the tuition of thousands of students. MRS. WHITMIRE handles all of the accounts for student activities at Clemson. Because of her intense interest and efforts the problems confronting the many organizations are easily taken care of. The director of student activities, MR. G. H. HILL, lends a helping hand to the school publications and also serves in the duel role of assistant business manager. 24

PUBLICITY 19 A vital and much-needed activity is the publicizing of our athletic program at Clemson. This position is well filled by BRENT BREEDIN, who displays a keen ability to sum up the athletic situation at Clemson and have it published throughout the country. WALTER COX, Assistant to the President, has con- tributed much to Clemson ' s growth. His personality, Iriendly smile, and warm (eeling toward the Clemson students and alumni, and his foresight in laying long-range plans of activities for Clemson make him one of the outstanding administrators on our campus. GENE WILLIMON .s a good will amba ssador to the members of the Iptay. He stimulates interest in the athletic program at Clemson by making speeches and showing films throughout the country. JOHN CALIFF, director of the News Bureau at Clemson, keeps a complete record of the alumni activities and edits the Alumni News . Uncle John, who is also advisor to the TAPS, lends a sheltering wing to keep the TAPS boys in line. 26
