DEANS AND DIRECTORS The Board of Deans and Directors constitutes an ad- visory board for the president and meets every Monday or at the call of the president. At these meetings, the Board contributes to the president ideas pertaining to the various schools and divisions. DEAN KINARD consults A. J. BROWN prior to a Monday meetln3 of the Deans and Directors. MR. METZ discusses important school policies with DEAN HUNTER and MR. VICKERY.

WALTER COX and MR. LEPPARD discuss the memorial dedication, held at the Calhoun Mansion, to the cite of the first meeting of the Board of Trustees at Clemson. DR. POOLE introduces officers of the Olin Founda- tion at the dedication of the new Ceramics Building. BOARD OF TRUSTEES The legislative body of the college, provided for in the will of Thomas G. Clemson and later passed by the Legislature of South Carolina, is the Board of Trustees. The policies expressed by the Board include laws for the school, government, expenditure of its funds, and approval of its courses of study. The Board does not undertake to direct details of administration; although, it does lay down the general policy.
