DR. POOLE AND... Dr. Poole, who serves as president of Clemson, carries the responsibility of running the college. His job is to keep the administration, faculty, and students coordinated and contented. The dinner table is often a good place lor impromptu confabs, as DR. POOLE here chats with a guest. One of the president ' s tasks is reviewing parades; here he stands at attention with GENERAL BOLLING, com- mander of the Third Army. DR. POOLE, MISS SHANKLIN, and MR. METZ gaze at pictures of some of the many artists brought to Clemson by the Con- cert Series. A most enjoyable aspect of DR. POOLE ' S job; present- ing a bouquet to South Carolina ' s Maid of Cotton. At a banquet honoring long-time Clemson employees, DR. POOLE shakes hands with TOM LITTLE- JOHN, who has served as the chief cook in the mess hall for many years. 21
