Often kidded as a farmer ' s schiool for plowhands, the School of Agriculture has long fulfilled the dream of Thomas G. Clemson, to provide an institution for scientific agriculture. Beginning with Red Ritchie ' s hog lab and Rosie ' s Botany, Freshmen often wonder why heredity is so important until Frog takes them in hand and teaches them the facts of life. Down in the dairy department, Big Ben lectures to his beloved Sophomores, while the Juniors and Sen- iors learn that ice cream ' s ingredients involve a thorough knowledge of chemistry as well as milk. In Bing ' s economics, humor mixes well with prob- lems as our contemporary explains theories of mar- keting.
