Now we would like to present it to you, hoping that now and in later years you will enjoy it and will recall memories of your high school years. CO-EDITORS Sylvia McPherson Robert Walker BUSINESS MANAGER Jim Johnson ART EDITOR Marie Bleimeyer FEATURE EDITORS Suzanne Stipe Rene Harper CLUB EDITORS Sydney Goodale Kathy Johnson SPORTS EDITOR Robert Williams PHOTOGRAPHER Jerry West 3 We, the staff, in behalf of the student body and faculty, wish to pay tribute to the memory of a former member of Cleburne High School faculty, Mrs. Ruth P. Archer. Mrs. Archer began teaching in Cleburne High School in 1920-1921 and retired in 1957. During these years she taught English, speech, and journalism. Also she was a sponsor of the Yapper for seventeen years. Always interested in student and faculty welfare, she actively partici- pated in professional organizations. Mrs. Archer will be remembered by many former students and teachers for her loyalty to our school, her kindness to friends, and her pleasure in everyday things. 4 zom omcmo We, the members of the annual staff of 1964, wish to dedicate this yearbook to you, Miss Ruth Hopper for the untiring work and devotion you have given to Cleburne High School. A warmth and sincerity that shines inside the classroom and out has made you known and loved by all your associates. Your ability to work with teenagers and to bring out their best, not only in class but also in daily living, has gained you the respect of par- ents, teachers, and the teenagers themselves. It is with sincerest admiration and affection that we, as representa- tives of the student body, dedicate this annual to you. 5 ADMINISTRATION Administration Officers Board of Education Service Special Personnel Faculty BOARD OF EDUCATION Members, from left to right, are Jack Altaras, Glenn Roof, Tolbert Yater, Bob Anderson, Jr., John F. We are very grateful to them for their un- selfish service to the community and to us at Cleburne High School, SUPERINTENDENT Every privilege that we enjoy is made possible Mrs. Nona Hillard 8 PRINCIPAL Mrs. Sally Collins Secretary This year has been pleasant and profitable for all because of cooperativeness, enthusiasm, loy- alty, and a fine school spirit by both the students and faculty members.
