A. degree from the Univer- sity of Texas, you began your career asa teacher--a career which has endeared you to all those with whom you have come in contact. Your earliest teaching days were spent at Fairview, Tolar, and Hico, Texas, however, in 1921 you accepted a position in Cleburne High School. Perhaps you did not realize at that time that your remaining thirty-seven years as a teacher would be spent there. Now after these many years of service in your chosen profession, you plan to retire at the end of this school year. As students of Cleburne High School, we regret to see you leave, never- theless, we will always remember you, the man who has been not only an instructor but a friend to CHS students. Therefore, it is our pleasure to dedicate the 1958 edition of the Santa Fe Trail to you, MR. JOHN E. WEEKS. She has had high school teach- ing experience, and has served as Vocational Coun- selor in placement and industry. MRS. ALICE RODMAN, our Health Nurse, is in charge of the school health records. Of utmost importance to the administration ofCleburne High School is MR. CECIL HAR- PER, Assistant Principal. He is in charge of the attendance records, teaches three com- mercial classes, and is Housemaster of Ed- ison l-louse. PRINCIPA L 'S MESSA GE The quality of one's life is pretty much revealed by the strength of his as- piration to learn, The value of one's life is pretty much determined by the use he makes of the learning he acquires. The greatest danger to our nation is not that some anarchist will destroy it, but that you and I will fail to apply ourselves actively to this job of creative citizenship--will fail to accept the challenge given by the America of the past to build in the future the nation we require, l JV SCENES C.H.5 Mr Huddleston affirms the Scznp the mdxans lm ,um 1 battle cr H before e of me pep ra y the end Waxahachme game f 111 CS C bus Y P S1c students are tes I C0111 on 15' known as a ba fomete boys hsten xmently THesc Rxley House 1 me cmc :Kea ers dem ousuate a new ye1 33 1 1 11 11 XX X 1111111111 f 5 :'- f X 5, fi X X X Q X WWXN AC 1 111 X 1 11X 1 1 '11 1 1 X1 ' 1 M ' 1 1 X1 1 A i ' j 1111 11.1. 11 111111111 11111111111 11, If ,U XXXNCQXX 1 ixxxxxx . ,Y ,1 Mx NWN ll!
