Good Citizenship Girl Charlene Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Winford Brown of Muscad- ine, was chosen DAR Good Citizenship Girl for 1976-77 by the CCHS faculty. Charlene was selected Homecoming Queen for 1976. She is head cheerleader and was chosen Most Dependable in the Senior Who's Who and Senior Favorite and Honor Graduate. She was also selected Miss Drama Club and Miss FHA for 1976-77. Senior Honors Named Perfect A ttendance Lance Turner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Turner of Route 3, Hef- lin, has been present each day for his entire twelve years of school. Lance is active in athletics at CCHS and was selected Mr. Tiger and Friendliest in the Senior Who's Who. He is a member of the Beta Club, the Science Club, the H- Club and the FCA. 17

James Cates Is Valedictorian of Class of 1977 James Cates James Cates has earned the distinctive honor of Valedictorian of the 1977 graduating class for having the highest academic average in grades ten, eleven and twelve. His average is 95.65. James is secretary of the Beta Club, president of the Senior Science Club, and a member of the 1977 Annual Staff. He has excelled as a member of the Cleburne County High School Band and has been chosen an All-State Band Member for the past three years. He was selected Most Studious in the Senior Who’s Who. James' parents are Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Cates of Muscadine, Alabama.
