Entertainment for the party consisted of skits presented by senior homerooms and music by members of the chorus. After an hour of fun with the skits, everyone enjoyed seeing baby pictures of the seniors along with their Christmas wishes. Climaxing the night was a table of home-baked Christmas refreshments and punch provided by sen- ior parents. “We have only just begun to t white lace and promises, a kiss luck and we are on our way. . . “Don’t look, you might see. Don’t think, you might learn. Don’t walk, you might stumble. Don’t run, you might fall. Don’t try, you might fail. Don’t love, you might care. Don’t live, you might die. ” “True it is that we have never seen better days. ” “As students we learn about live, about others, and most of all, about ourselves. ” 37 “We were checking in the right place, but it must have been the wrong time. ” “Each day is like opening a present. ” “Now pause to take a deeper look, but at a slower pace this time. “We will all remember it with a smile; a smile of friendship that will endure long after this school year has become another in the history of CCHS. ” In Memory The Senior Class dedicates this page of our memo- ries of 1976-77 to two of our classmates and friends whose memories were a precious part of our school life. Kay Perry November 17, 1958 to January 21, 1974 Kay was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Perry of Heflin. She loved her school and its activity program in such a way that made her a delight to the student body and faculty. Kay was a midget cheerleader for the White Owls for two years, a junior high cheerleader for two years, and junior high head cheerleader during her Freshman year. She was also a member of the Junior Beta Club. To know Kay was to love her. Brenda Willingham August 3, 1958 to February 8, 1975 Brenda was the daughter of Mrs. Marie Carden of Heflin. Her gentle reserve and genuine concern for others makes her memory a treasure to each of those who knew her. Brenda died suddenly in February of 1975. 43 Seniors Dedicate Annual to Mrs. Noell Dedication The members of the Class of 1977 take pride in dedicating this issue of THE TIGER to someone who has been not only a fine teacher but also a friend to us. She has inspired us to strive for the best in all that we undertake and has shown a sincere concern for our future. It is with deep respect and great admiration that the Seniors of 1977 dedicate our annual to Mrs. Teresa Noell. Mrs. Noell is a graduate of Sylvania High School in Sylvania, Ala- bama. She earned B.S. and M.S. degree from Jacksonville State Uni- versity . Mrs. Noell is the wife of Mr. Ken Noell, and they are the parents of a lovely two-year old daughter, Candice. 44 Classes Juniors of 76-77 Next to getting our classrings at the end of the year, the big- gest thing in the life of a junior is the Junior-Senior Prom. The jun- iors finance the Banquet and Prom to honor the graduating seniors through a magazine sale in the fall. Student spectators, band members, cheerleaders and team members look for- ward to Friday's pep rallies and the varsity game on Friday night when students and school supporters pack the stands for home games and travel in numbers to the Tiger away- games. Tiger fans are always proud of their CCHS teams but the 1976 TIGER TEAM is special indeed to CCHS students and faculty. Their courage and tenacity in representing CCHS in a year that seemed filled with an endless chain of illness and injuries won them the respect and admiration of all those who have fought a battle and not quit when the going was rough. They started off the year right with winning First Place Overall and Most Spirited Squad awards at DCA Camp at West Georgia College. Before each football game they were busy with bon-fires, decorating the halls with crepe paper and slogans, and satisfying the team's appetites with homemade goodies and suppers. They were in charge of decorating for the Homecoming Dance and for the athletic banquet.
