TIGER 1985 The memorial to the 1909 Piedmont School Building was officially dedicated in a ceremony November 7, 1984, at 2:30 p.m. on the high school campus. The memorial will preserve the memory of the old 1909 building. It was constructed from the bell, the pillers, and bricks of the demolished building. The 1909 building was torndown in 1980.
