DEDANS £UfDE SlUDEMS THROUGH THE V EAR Two of the hardest working people at Clearwater High School are Miss Myers, Girl ' s Dean, and Mr. Justice, Boy ' s Dean and assistant principal. Working closely with the rest of the administration de- partment, Miss Myers and Mr. Justice assist largely in the fields of attendance, counseling and school relations. Miss Myers and Mr. Justice often confer about students. Miss Myers is always willing to help. Regulating school activities is one of Mr. Justice ' s many duties. Miss Myers consults with parents. Mr. Justice controls traffic flow dur- ing lunch.

Under his competent supervision, Clearwater High School has become one of the leading and most efficient schools in the state. Because he is never too busy to help us; never too tired to give us his kindly advice and encouragement; always willing to give his attention to anyone in trouble, Mr. Glenn will always be remembered as one of our truest, finest friends. ROBERT T. GLENN, Principal CHARACTER Mr. Glenn works before . . . The prime responsibility of education is the MAKING of MEN. This means citizens, male and female, who will find the high qualities of their nature and make every action subservient to them. The develop- ment of good character is no simple task. Within the last three decades serious tests have been thrust upon human nature. Human values have been beset by monetary depression, the devastation of wars and the uncertainty of peace. Wide-spread corruption in public office, shirking of civic responsibility, and a lack of moral sensibility in community life exist. Man ' s greatest work is the creation of his personality. Man ' s greatest inheritance is his character. Man ' s greatest achievement is his character in action. Let us ask ourselves this question: Is our character in action in accordance with God ' s plan for mankind? during . . . and after school. 28

ADVISORS COUNSEL Through the facilities offered by the Guidance Department, students can find where their abilities lie, what courses to pursue and investigate plans for the future. Mrs. Kilgore works mainly with sophomores, helping them adjust to a new environment, Mr. Forinash works with junior guidance making schedules for the senior year and Miss Sherrick is responsible for helping students prepare after graduation plans. Mr. Forinash is busy with student schedules. Miss Sherrick has college information. Mrs. Kilgore helps acquaint new students with C.H.S. 30
