Our Industrial Arts program includes General Shop, Arts and Crafts, and Mechanical Drawing. General Shop students learn to make useful wood products. The Arts and Crafts course aims primarily to develop an ability in students to make useful things for themselves from ceramics, copper, other metals, and leather. lt includes the development of an ability to use leisure time by filling it with profitable work. Mechanical Drawing has been called the Language of lndustry, but engineers, architects, and all designers use it to record their ideas. A three year course is ottered at C.H.S. which includes Personal, Social, and Family Relationships, Home Care, ln- terior Decoration, Family Finance and Management, Clothing Construction and Textiles, Child Develop- ment, Home Nursing, and Food Preparation and Meal Planning.
