A degree in mathematics, lead- ing to engineering, nuclear phys- ics, teaching, and other related fields, starts early in one's school lite. Here in Clearwater High the students add to their knowledge of mathematics by taking such courses as plane and solid geom- etry, Algebra I, ll, and Ill, and trigonometry. In accelerated courses, Statis- tics, calculus, polar graphing, the history of mathematics, and glimp- ses of modern mathematics are explored. Basic mathematics provides an opportunity for students not partic- ularly interested in mathematics to gain further understanding.

We must be challenged, inspired, and guided to fulfill the science need Chemistry classes take up the study of atomic and molecular struc- tures of matter and the ways in which it is combined and decom- posed. Physics surveys the forces and laws of nature. This course includes the study of matter and hovv it is affected by heat, sound, motion, and electricity. Physiology is an elective designed for seniors. It is a detailed study of the structure and functions of the human body.
