EDITOR'S NOTE The closing of the doors of C. H. S. at the end of this school year will hold a special significance for our school and for one of our most-re- spected teachers, Alice Parker. As we go to press, March 3, 1969, we have learned that Miss Parker is retiring from teaching. With the exception of three years, her entire teaching career has been centered around Clearwater High School. We students know Miss Parker as our most-helpful librarian--and for us junior and senior girls, an inspiring Kayette sponsor--but we also know that some of our parents and hundreds of other individuals have had the privi- lege of being a student in one or more of her classes. Her excellent teaching and influence for good in our school and com- munity can never be measured, we know, but we would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation--as well as that of those hundreds who have walked through the halls of C. H. S, before us--for her years of selfless devotion and excellent service. The AFTERGLOW staff, student body, and faculty extend their best wishes to Miss Parker at this time and wish her well in her new activities.
