uture Business Leaders Qf Amenca At Work F.B.L.A., Future Business Leaders of America, did an outstanding job this year. They entered at compe- tition in Dade county and six members placed. Four of them, Robin Reuss, Jeannine Mullan, Victoria Yar- vote, and Angela Schneider went to Orlando for State Competition. Throughout the year they were ex- posed to many helpful experiences. They visited Ma- na Manor Nursing Home, All Children's Hospital, and the St. Pete Times building, where students leamed much about today's new technology. They began a new project called Career Shadowing , where a stu- dent follows a businessman for a day to get the feel of what it is like in the business world. Robin Reuss said that she enjoyed the club because, l'l leamed how to deal with people in the business world. Bottom row: Laura Wiltshire, president: Jeannine Mullan, secretary. questrians Jump ln The Saddle Don't know how to ride a horse? No problem! To join the CC Equestrian Club, experience is not a requirement. Many new members were oblivious to the many details that horse lovers need to know. Aside from the basic tech- niques, the club members were exposed to different styles of riding such as the English form. Advanced riders with the experience helped the novice members in teaching them how to groom the horses properly. Instructors showed the club how to care for horses with injuries and how to recognize the riding equip- ment. Advanced members worked on jumping while the beginners practiced trotting and cantering. In order to be a member of the Equestrian Club, dedica- tion and love for horses were the re- quirements needed. This organization gave its members the opportunity to im- prove their riding, caring, and training skills. -2, .x 'mr' jf Top row, from left to right: Mrs. Angers, Maureen McCullough, Cheryl Berry, Sharon Popson, Stephanie Biemacki, Tina Georgilas.
