The Marauder has really shone. Eileen Fisher, acting Editor-in-Chief, said, I believe our graphics and page layouts have improved tremendously this year. Not only has the appearance of the Marauder changed, but also the articles have reflected a change. The staff has taken a much stronger stand on many issues and has encouraged the students to speak up by writing more letters to the editor. Some of these letters have addressed the discipline code, hair styles, and the proposal of an hour long period. The newspaper was also on a more competitive level with public school publications. The Marauder staff went to district FSPA convention in October. They also received a very high rating of 921 out of 1000 points from CSPA and because of their outstanding rating, Mrs. Ficarrotta, was inidted to be a guest speaker for the Columbia Scholastic Press Associations annual con- vention in New York City. The Marauder staff attended the May FSPA conven- tion in Orlando and entered the Clearwater Sun Con- test. Overall, the Marauder had a rewarding year for their joumalistic efforts. omputer Club Programs To The Top! lt was an exciting year for all members ofthe Comput- er Club, old or new! lt was an important year, too, be- cause the members reached for a goal of exploring the basics ofthe computer. The club moderator, Mr. Hartley said the group experimented with various programs, not only leaming but having fun. Students also created their omm programs and put them to use. They touched on several areas of the computer software and expand- ed on subjects already knovm to the club's enthusiasts. Another reason why this was an important year was that the membership of the club grew in size from the origi- nal three members to the 11 present members. The Computer Club has come a long way and should contin- ue on its path until they reach the top!! Top row, from left to right: Mike Lehrer, Drew Crracy. Marauder spelled backwards produces Reduaram, the title of CCC's literary maga- zine. Published successfully for the three consecu- tive years the magazine includes essays, poems, and other written literature submitted by students. l'Through the help of a dedicated and hard work- ing staff, stated Stan Deptula, we pulled together our best magazine yet, and look forward to better and bigger things next year.
