The Class Of 198 Dedicates The Praedator '87 To Jennifer Lynne Ruppel Through prayer, love, and detemiination she be- came a living symbol of hope. On the night of De- cember 12, 1986, senior Jenn Ruppel was critically injured in an automobile accident. As an innocent passenger, she spent the next few weeks in a coma until December 51, when she was moved to a private room. Immediately notified after the accident, the school community - facul- ty, administration, parents, and students -- unified to pray for a common plea: that Jenn would survive. Touched by the Almighty Hand of God, Jenn began to show signs that she would soon recover. Jenn's love for life helped her to devel- op the senses lost in the ac- cident. Being a very special person and a hard worker, Jenn used her strength to continually improve. After months of rehabilitation, Jenn was finally able to visit school and attend events that required her presence. As the editor-in-chief on the Marauder newspaper, she received many different awards to recognize her tal- ents that contributed to the staff before and after the ac- cident. The community of C.C.C. is joyful and grateful for Jenn's recovery. Many thanks are extended to the families and friends who made this recovery possi- ble, but mostly to God, who gave Jenn a second chance to make life matter. As a liv- ing example of the strength of prayer, the class of 1987 dedicates the Praedator '87 to Jennifer Lynn Ruppel.
