THE SECRET TO RUNNERS SUCCESSES Trudging up a steep hill, I find myself feeling every blade of grass, every wrinkle in the soclc, and every painful step. My owner becomes fa- tigued with each passing mile. I shout encouragement, Keep going, It's not far now, you can do it. I'm unheard, as most running shoes are, Worn, weathered, and weary, I am still a necessity to a run- ner. With my friends, Iplodded along the well-worn trails, as- sisting my runner in many important meets. The runners 154 were jan Nelson senior cap- tain, and Paul Blizzard, senior co-captain. Other experienced runners were Chris Reed, and Mike Baralt juniors, with se- niors, Pat Moore, and Clyde Lefever. The rest of the team was composed of john Erie and john Serra. Dedicated Mr. Noyes coached this well- trained group of runners. Although young and nov- ice at the start of the season, the Marauders gained much valuable experience through hard work and long hours of cross-country training. W -f' ,Q0'Y '
