FOOTBALL I GNI TES I-'ROM A PIG5KIN'5 VIEW My threads are worn, my seams are torn, as I emerge from a brutal encounter most people call a game. I, the football, know all the dimensions of this so-called game. Consequently l've witnessed the Marauder Varsity football team conclude their season with a 6-4 winning record. The combined efforts of both offensive and defensive team players con tributed heavily to the success of the team. The big goal was to beat St. Pete Catholic. states senior-captain john Pezey, I'm happy with this team 's accomplish- ments. Reality of their goal was achieved on 11f15f86 with TD's by Mike Malzahn and john Pezey, who led the Marauder in rushing yards and TD's. As the defensive line tried to chase me down, senior-captains Peter Hahn and Mike Malzahn dominated the field! Aid- ing them in their quest were senior Ra- fael Gomez and juniors Scott Riley, Chris Kelly, Steve Starnes, and Roy Fuhs. Leading the Marauders in ball- napping was senior-captain Bob Zagers, whose accomplices included juniors Danny Pilardi, Brian Flanagan, and sophomore jason Lamoureux. On the offensive side, junior quarter- back Corey Boyd completed many passes to seniors Denis Paquette, Robert Bro- kamp, and Bobby Zagers. The running crew consisted of senior-captains Mike Malzahn and john Pezey and juniors Roy Fuhs, Danny Filardi, and Kyle Fancher. Protecting and blocking these skillful runners was the powerhouse of- fensive line, led by seniors Peter Hahn, Mike Glennon, Reynold Hausman, Chris Meinberg, and juniors Mark No- votny and Cy Hart. As I soar high above the helmets and shoulder pads, I view a Marauder team that has worked hard to achieve its vic- tories. Yet, I also see that their unified teamwork and boosted spirits helped them to successfully overcome their de- feats.
