Juniors Reach Their Goal The Class of 1988 entered Central's atmosphere two years ago beginning a long joumey through high school. The many stops along the way were opportunities to grow closer as a unit. The seniors came together to distin- guish thejuniors as upperclassmen in a ceremony held on November 25, 1986, in the McLaughlin Center. Each junior entered as an individual holding a light of pride, to then exit as part of a whole, Central's class of 1988. The class's rings and certificates of recognition completed the reality that once was only a distant vision. Clearly, accomplishment and solem- nity were the feelings surrounding each student and their families as they left to continue their joumey to grow in the Spirit of Christ as seniors. ' 151 5 9

Wm, , ru 5 to to o 5 E i as s so i , ff Standing on the stage, hearing the crowd scream, feeling the lights glare in their eyes, and listening to the music begin was a dream come true for many Central students when they impersonated their favor- ite stars. Many groups participated this year. The winners ofthe lip sync were Greg Hagan, Tim Slaugh- ter, Brian Harris, Todd Jackson, John Pezey, Bob Zagers, Mike Malzahn, and Dan Jacobs who per- fomled Macho Man by the Village People. Every- one enjoyed the very successful night. TCS

Holiday Splnt Decks The Halls Of Central Jingle bells, Jingle bells . . . Yuletide music and excitement filled Christmas week as students participated in various acitivities. The festive week included a presentation by the Drama class enti- tled 'tThe Saga of Sagebrush Sal . Members of the cast were adomed in a colorful display of western clothing as they acted out their humorous tale. A creative addition to the fun was a special day for students to dress up as their favorite Christmas character, such as X-mas trees, elves, stockings, snowmen, and Mr. and Mrs. Claus. In the spirit of giving, each class level decorated a Christmas tree that was later donated to a needy family. The unity shovim in this activity made the true meaning of Christmas more apparent. Each religion class, as well, adopted a migrant family and organized a gift giving committee to gather presents for each family. The end of the week concluded on Friday with candycanes and beamers in the moming and an enlightning candlelight Mass cele- brated by Father Proulx.
